Amaco Velvet engobes are underglazes offering rich and intense colours, usable on greenware, leather-hard clay, or bisque.
Highly versatile, they are suitable for a wide firing range (≈1000 to 1280°C) and allow for precise decorations, flat colours, or painted effects.
They can be used alone for a velvety matte finish or covered with a glaze to intensify the colours and achieve a glossy finish.
